I never expressed my sensitive side outside of people I felt comfortable with, so playing Lola and being an Angel [in Kinky Boots] taught me so much about myself. When I put those boots, it’s strapping on a new part of myself and learning that my true self is awesome and that I don’t have to hide anymore.”
